BIGGEST non-nuclear bomb in US arsenal.
"The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB, /ˈmoʊ.æb/, colloquially given as the Mother of All Bombs) is a large-yield bomb, developed for the United States military by Albert L. Weimorts, Jr. of the Air Force Research Laboratory.It was first tested in 2003. At the time of development, it was said to be the most powerful non-nuclear weapon in the US military arsenal. The bomb is designed to be delivered by a C-130 Hercules, primarily the MC-130E Combat Talon I or MC-130H Combat Talon II variants. The bomb's name and nickname were inspired by Iraqi president Saddam Hussein's invocation of the "mother of all battles" (Umm al-Ma'arik) during the 1991 Gulf War." (#Iraq)

A US military presence is the central source of insecurity in the Persian Gulf region, Iran’s Army spokesman Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia said, as quoted by Iranian media.
Therefore, he suggested, if the US military were to withdraw from the region, the Strait of Hormuz would reopen, the global economy would improve and a new local collective security framework could be established with the help of other countries in the region.
💬 And if the US troops won’t leave voluntarily, Iran will evict them, he added.
Akraminia also mentioned that Iran’s new operational plans, when implemented, could force US warships, which had already moved over 500 km away from the Iranian coast, to “retreat further and move away from the region.”

🇪🇸🇲🇦 Spanish National Police uncover a change of pattern in Ceuta: 70% of Moroccans claim to be gay and request asylum.
The National Police have detected a change in trend in the asylum applications of immigrants who entered Ceuta during the late July influx. Police sources reveal to ABC that 70% of the applications argue they are suffering persecution in their countries of origin due to their sexual orientation.
Officers suspect that this shift is due to these individuals receiving advice on the steps to follow to achieve their goal of staying in Spain. Only five of the cases have been accepted.
